Hypocrites! Be careful, Dems, that you don't kill the Goose that lays those golden eggs for you.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, said Democrats "don’t even want to use (the Obama budget) as a starting point. Why? We got the answer earlier this week from Senator Schumer, when he indicated that Democrats now believe avoiding this debate altogether helps them in the next election."

The president urges Democrats and Republicans in the Senate to find common ground on a plan that can get support from both parties in the House -- a plan the president can sign by Tuesday."

Before the vote, Boehner urged members on the House floor to support his plan to raise the debt ceiling and reduce the nation's deficit, and accused the White House and Senate of failing to make the same effort.

"Put something on the table," Boehner said to cheers and applause from Republican House members. "Tell us where you are!"

Boehner also addressed the American people, whose support of Congress and President Barack Obama has waned as the debt crisis has dragged on, saying, "We tried our level best."

Here’s an idea… Don’t raise the damn debt ceiling. I know there are many who disagree, but I think you are just putting off the inevitable. It’s like giving an addict just a little more heroin. Cut and cap period. Then boot all the politicians out of office. Works for me. I’m beyond tired of Progressives on both sides of the aisle violating the Constitution and driving us over a financial cliff. Obama is unarguably worse because he is shoving us into a full-fledge dictatorship complete with media propaganda and wicked plans for a final American waltz before a restructuring on a worldwide scale.

It has been an ongoing amazement to me that no one speaks the obvious about this selfish {GOP} political party’s devious plans of ME-FIRST/YOU-NEVER.
THANK YOU dear Chuck Schumer for being one of the bravest and honest persons of power to at long last, let the LION out of the nickel candy bag so that all may finally realize what it is we, WHO THINK are up against. thinkingblue

An Obama aide told Ryan Lizza of the New Yorker that in foreign affairs the president favors “leading from behind.” That means he scarcely leads at all. On domestic policy, it’s the same, only worse.

CIEL welcomes this proposal because it provides an important opportunity for Congress to address the concerns of millions of Americans about toxic chemicals at work, in everyday products, and in our air, water and food.

How do the Obama deficits compare with past presidents? And how did the national debt get so big anyway. This video tries to answer those questions by looking at the debt as a road trip and seeing how fast different administrations have been traveling.
