Fluoride in water protects teeth: dental society :

Many studies prove that fluoride in drinking water protects people’s teeth from cavities, the head of the New Brunswick Dental Society says.Dr. Kent Orlando, society president, said his organization is not prepared to do its own study on whether the people of Moncton will suffer from city council's decision to get rid of fluoride in the drinking water.
      


Leading up to Tuesday’s city election, mayoral candidate Ed O’Neill is this election cycle’s biggest fundraiser and spender, according to campaign documents filed with the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure board. O’Neill raised $12,150, and spent $9,197.15 on his campaign. A City Council oversight committee held a hearing Friday to review the operations of the oft-forgotten cemetery at Hart Island, New York City's potter's field, where some 850,000 people are buried, most of whom are either unclaimed, unidentified or whose families couldn't afford a funeral.

The city plans to repeal the city law of Domestic Battery being a crime, in their thinking that the DA will be forced to begin prosecuting.
      


“When you get on that bicycle, you want to feel the same comfort that someone in a car feels,” explained Bill Rosendahl, the Chair of the Transportation Committee and a freshly re-trained bicyclist himself. ”You want to know that when you park your bike is safe, and isn’t going to get vandalized.”

There are several political signs attracting all kinds of attention in one Uptown neighborhood... On Wednesday, crowds gathered at the corner of Calhoun and Coralie streets, looking at several signs depicting President Barack Obama as either a dunce, a puppet or a crying baby in a diaper.

I love how liberals crow about free speech rights --- until they interfere with their blinkered worldview.
