Retailers just don't get social media sites yet.

Despite all the (warranted) hoopla about SMS, QR codes and other leading edge mobile marketing strategies, it is interesting to note that a sound email marketing campaign gets results. I would suppose that retailers (or anyone for that matter) will get better open rates if they continuously treat their prospects/customers with respect (code for sending meaningful content and not spamming;)
