I leave you with a lens I finished, finally. Liked by lisaauch1 My dear friend sousababy has written a page with a really great pumpkin pie recipe, this is perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas (both for me). Thanksgiving is my excuse to overindulge in pumpkin pie (I love it!) and overindulge I do! The recipe is easy to follow and my friend has included the best ingredients and where to get them. You'll find it here: Pumpkin Pie & Fabulous Variations (includes gluten-free, kosher and diabetic needs) http://www.squidoo.com/pumpkin-pie-variations The page is included in one of Squidoo's new magazines. This one is called "Good Veg" and sousababy has several more pieces and while you're there you would do well to take a look at the others. She has managed to get my son and myself to eat a lot more of our veggies.:~) Hot off the Squidoo press and out of the oven: http://www.squidoo.com/gluten-free-vegan-pot-pie Suitable for gluten-free diets, vegetarians (and even those who eat chicken). Bonus: a great gag gift too! is dedicated to my American friends in celebration of their upcoming Thanksgiving on November 24th, 2011: http://www.squidoo.com/pumpkin-pie-variations Includes: Kosher, gluten-free, diabetic, and vegan needs. Liked by Maria Luis maxreily There are a number of dietary interventions that are helpful for individuals on the autism-spectrum. These include the gluten and casein-free diet (GF/CF), the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD), Low Oxalate Diet (LOD), Feingold, GAPS, and anti-candida. Deciding on which diet is right for your child can be confusing. How do you know where to start? Which one do I do? Which one is best? All of these are common questions, but sometimes difficult to answer. In my experience there is no one diet that is right for every person – certainly not every autism-spectrum child. One size does not fit all. It is true that in the context of eating the elimination of toxic foods such as processed grains, high fructose corn syrup, and trans fats is critical, and in doing so will go a long way in improving the health of your child. Let’s take a glance at one diet – The Body Ecology – as a treatment option for autism. |
