Never mind taking over Wall Street - how about shutting down one of the most used resources on the web.That's what Wikipedia plans to to due in protest of the Stop Online Privacy Act.
Just this weekend, new tweeter, Rupert Murdoch attacked President Obama (when the White House expressed concerns about SOPA) and Google for profiting from piracy This fight will pit film studios/media companies/music studios against technology giants like Google/Facebook/Wikipedia.

SOPA sucks. A lot of things have sucked for the last 80 years - perhaps nothing as asinine or insidious as SOPA. Born of ignorance, fueled by greed, votes bought in Congress. Shut it down.

The power sought by the federal government to force its will upon the people started long before President Obama took office. President Hamilton thought that the use of military force against the American people was justified to promote his unpopular Whiskey Tax. Does this sound familiar to anyone? The new tax is Obamacare, the force of Law is being waged against the states and the people by the Government and the Supreme Court. Although we the people fought and protested fehemently against the passing of Obamacare our 'representatives" refused to listen to us and passed the bill anyway, forcing all Americans to pay the tax thus imposed.

I guess we have not yet learned from history. Maybe this time "we the people" will win this war against our freedoms.

The Senate passed HR 3630 Saturday to the approval of President Obama, as reported in the article Obama Approves Keystone Pipeline Agreement, Payroll Tax Holiday Extension. In the article, I erroneously reported that the payroll tax extension was for a year as originally passed by the House, but was actually reduced to two months in the Senate.

President Obama approved H.R. 3630, the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2011 Saturday.
