Passion is what stops the audience in their tracks. This is what makes them want to employ you, or accept what you’re proposing. Couple this with some energy, enthusiasm and emotion and you have the makings of a great public speaker.

I just posted a letter regarding the advocacy of the US Chamber of Commerce of a bill that severely threatens speech rights on the Internet. Please take a look and follow the link at the bottom to sign the petition to ask Google to quit the US Chamber.

There are many English Proverbs and Sayings featuring animals, and it must be very difficult for people learning English as a second language to remember enough of these figures of speech to be able to use them with the ease that English speaking people do.

This web page will be a fun reminder to native English speakers about some of the animals we refer to in figurative speech.

AT HIS TEMPLE IN THE EARLY MORNING I clean my teeth in water drawn from a cold well; And while I brush my clothes, I purify my mind; Then, slowly turning pages in the Tree-Leaf Book, I recite, along the path to the eastern shelter. ...The world has forgotten the true fountain of this teaching And people enslave themselves to miracles and fables. To the many Contributors who have assisted in my online training, whether in Wikipedia, or elsewhere on the Internet: Thank You!

Without an outlet like Wikipedia, where researchers in every field may candidly express their observations, interpretations or reservations, regarding current knowledge and/or recent findings, many important facts might remain protected by paid access in corporate vaults classified as intellectual property.

I am thankful for the existence of Wikipedia, and ask that You to help by making a donation, today.

The freedom to succeed is ALWAYS accompanied by the freedom to fail. I've started, failed and succeeded at several small businesses. When I succeeded it was great. When I failed, it was a learning experience. Personally, I don't believe you can succeed without failure. You learn from failure - your own and that of others, if you are smart.

If you don't learn how to fail, you can't learn how to truly succeed.

'As the president noted: “When middle-class families can no longer afford to buy the goods and services that businesses are selling, it drags down the entire economy from top to bottom. … that’s why a CEO like Henry Ford made it his mission to pay his workers enough so they could buy the cars they made.”

There are many other connections besides the demand case the president makes: a strong middle class is a prerequisite for robust entrepreneurship and innovation, a source of trust that makes business transactions more efficient, a bulwark against credit booms and busts, and a progenitor of virtuous, forward-looking behaviors, such as valuing education.'

Seth Godin points out the reality of progress in his blog today. I think he was writing this for you and me.
