http://www.tomsawyer.com/gallery/ http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teorema_das_quatro_cores é tanta coisa e tão pouco tempo... Point well taken. Another point which I would add is that the abundance of (for example) Java libraries, on the one hand, makes it very easy to hack together a more or less "regular" solution (almost like a child builds a car from lego blocks), but on the other hand, potentially brings in chunks of unnecessary code (and bugs, and exceptions related to it) and might become an impediment if, for example, the application would have to scale beyond the assumptions of the library creator (you can't win a race in a Lego car, after all?..) . Could it be the minimalistic style of programming in C, by forcing people to work on low-level and reinvent the wheel, was more or less preventing the proliferation of a zillion of blown-up programs? Or was it mainly in the fact that before Java, a programmer had to know really well what he or she was doing?.. (And isn't same happening now to books and movies?.. • Excellent rate on offer • High profile consulting and managed services company • Newly created position on a new enterprise wide project Responsibilities of the role include: •Design, implementation and support of Unix/Linux (enterprise wide) •Deployment of Unix/Linux •To provide 3rd level support as required • Excellent permanent salary on offer • High profile consulting and managed services company - private national organisation • Great training and development opportunities Responsibilities of the role include: •Design, implementation and support of Unix HP-UX Solution (enterprise wide) •Deployment of Unix HP-UX •To provide 3rd level support as required This obituary column in the Washington Post attracted my attention. We have a lot to thank Robert Morris for and wish him peace and his family the strength they need. Also wanted to add this link to Robert Tappan Morris professor at MIT and son of son of the late Robert Morris . REad the wikipedia page - it is interesting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Tappan_Morris |
